AVCHD on the BD-P1500
Samsung has appeared to have broken AVCHD on the latest firmware for the BD-P1500.
Who knows if they will ever put it back to the way that it should be.
Here is my little guide to get it working once again.
First you need to have a compliant AVCHD format (use your favourite method).
Next, download the avchd_leer.zip file and extract it. This will give you an AVCHD folder. Go into there.
Notice how there is no CERTIFICATE folder, it is not needed for this method. Go into the BDMV folder.
Now here comes the fun part. Go to your AVCHD compliant disc and copy the folders CLIPINF, STREAM, and PLAYLIST to the avchd_leer
Copy over all of the folders
Use imgburn to make a udf2.5 dvd
Burn
SMiLE
I hope that this helps. If you have any questions pm me on the videohelp forums username Syco54645
I did not figure this method out myself. I found this on a german site which I cannot remember.
The firmware that I have uploaded was from a UK based forum, so I am not sure if it is US or UK firmware, the uploader was german. He is the same poster that mentioned the method I have outlined here.
I cannot be held respnsible for incorrect use of AVCHD or the firmware. If you break your machine, it is your own fault.
Your milage may vary
